We are looking for a highly dedicated research assistant to carry out a 2-year project at Department of Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, Herlev Hospital – starting from 1st April 2024 or soon hereafter.
The position At Department of Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, Division of Translational Endocrinology you will be part of a translational team comprising molecular biologists, physicians, human biologists, and candidates from molecular biomedicine that are investigating the clinical implications of altered endocrine crosstalk between the pituitary, gonads, adrenals, kidneys, and bone.
The candidate we are looking for will mainly be involved in a project that aims to characterise Leydig cell and Theca cell function in different animal and ex vivo culture models. The focus of the project is to identify new regulators of steroidogenesis. We are therefore looking for a candidate with extensive and documented scientific experience within Leydig or Theca cell physiology. Additionally, experience with tissue handling, immunohistochemistry/ immunofluorescence, ELISA-based hormone analyses or 3D imaging would be an advantage.
This is a fixed-term 2-year position, which is fully funded. However, depending on additional funding we hope that this can be extended.
Interested? We are looking for a talented MSc with a background in human biology, molecular biomedicine or molecular biology. It is required that you have extensive experience with laboratory work, including a broad range of techniques and experience working in a research environment. We expect that you are ambitious, enthusiastic, hard-working and that you work efficiently both independent and as part of a team.
