We are on the lookout for a talented Thai Sous Chef with expertise in Isaan-style cuisine, Thai classical dishes, and a thorough understanding of natural wines. Our ideal candidate will be a dynamic and energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, displays a strong sense of teamwork, and shows a keen curiosity about food and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of a range of Thai dishes, particularly those from the Isaan region and classical Thai repertoire.
  2. Show a broad understanding of natural wines, and apply this knowledge in pairing them with various Thai dishes.
  3. Work in collaboration with the kitchen team to develop innovative and appealing menus.
  4. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen, strictly adhering to health and safety regulations.
  5. Support the training and mentorship of junior kitchen staff, promoting an environment of ongoing learning and improvement.
  6. Collaborate with suppliers to procure the finest ingredients, focusing on sustainability and locally-sourced produce when possible.
  7. Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and suggestions to the overall restaurant strategy.

Key Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a Thai kitchen, with a specific focus on Isaan-style and classical Thai cuisine.
  2. In-depth understanding of natural wines and their successful pairing with Thai dishes.
  3. Demonstrable ability to work efficiently in a high-paced kitchen environment, maintaining excellent standards even under pressure.
  4. Outstanding team player with strong leadership skills, capable of fostering a positive, collaborative working environment.
  5. An inherent curiosity and passion for food and culture, coupled with a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
  6. Demonstrated empathy and effective communication skills, with an ability to understand and cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
  7. Familiarity with the latest culinary trends and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience working in a quality restaurant environment.
  3. Lingual skills in English, Danish and Thai will be highly advantageous.
