The role as Head of Accounting
As Head of Accounting at Nordic Innovators you will get responsibility for managing all accounting and bookkeeping tasks as well as the overall responsibility for financial management for Nordic Innovators P/S and related subsidiaries in Norway and Spain. We are 70 employees and have 5 main office locations: Copenhagen, Aarhus, Málaga, Madrid and Bergen as well as remote workers across Europe. You will get a strong mandate to shape your own position including reshape Nordic Innovator’s accounting function together with highly competent senior stakeholders.
Your main responsibilities:
- Lead Nordic Innovators Nordic Accounting and admin function (Denmark, Norway)
- Provide high quality accounting across entities/countries together with our bookkeeping assistant incl.
- Deposits and withdrawals
- Debtor/creditor management
- Invoicing
- VAT
- Financial management and planning incl. cash flow
- Monthly payroll
- Be the one point of contact for accounting matters.
- Drive the implementation of additional automation systems and processes and assess currently implemented systems.
- Be a sparring partner to CEO, COO and Partners and other stakeholders.
Your experience and skills
You have a strong professional toolbox for accounting and financial management. We expect you to have about 10+ years of relevant experience in the finance field. Experience from the consulting industry would be beneficial.

- Experience in developing accounting processes and procedures in different countries.

- Solid interpersonal and collaborative skills to build relationships that last.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organized and structured work approach.
- Self-driven work approach.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar.
